Heated noise measurement track

13 March 2026

Year-round noise measurements

Our noise measurement track, qualified in accordance with ISO 10844:2021, features a modern asphalt heating system. This enables measurement conditions that only a small number of facilities can provide.

  • 50 kW heating capacity across ten independently controlled heating circuits
  • Automatic defrosting or time-controlled drying of the track
  • Temperature differences of up to 20 K, allowing winter measurements to reproduce rolling-noise conditions comparable to spring temperatures

This allows us to deliver consistent and reliable noise measurement data throughout the year, even when outside temperatures are close to freezing.

Brake dust emission test bench

12 March 2026

Third of six brake dust test benches commissioned

With the forthcoming Euro 7 regulation, non-exhaust particle sources such as brake wear are moving into focus alongside powertrain emissions.

Our brake dust test systems are designed for the requirements of UN Global Technical Regulation No. 24 (GTR 24). They enable precise measurement of PM10, PM2.5, total particle number (TPN) and solid particle number (SPN), providing reliable and reproducible results.

As a technical service in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025, we have now commissioned the third of six planned brake dust test benches. This increases throughput, shortens project lead times and gives our customers greater planning certainty when preparing for Euro 7.

MRI project for Ottobeuren hospital

1 March 2026

Major project for Ottobeuren hospital

A remarkable collaboration between regional companies, associations and hospital staff made an important project possible: the purchase of a dedicated magnetic resonance imaging scanner for Ottobeuren hospital.

The new MRI improves diagnostic capabilities and strengthens medical care in the Unterallgäu region. Representatives of the regional economy, including FAKT Motion GmbH, together with local associations and hospital employees contributed more than €420,000 to the financing.

We thank all participating companies and organisations for their commitment. The project shows what regional cooperation can achieve.

KBA designation for brake dust emissions

FAKT is among the first technical services accredited in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 to receive KBA designation (e1) for brake dust emissions under Regulation (EU) 2024/1257.

The relevant tests can already be carried out in-house. With six test systems planned in total, including facilities for research and development, we are consistently expanding our capacity for the requirements of the Euro 7 regulation.

24-hour charity cycling race

15 July 2024

24-hour race for a good cause

Markus Lerf, Head of Vehicle Testing at FAKT Endurance GmbH, took on an exceptional sporting challenge at the 24-hour cycling race in Kelheim.

His goal was to turn every kilometre ridden into support for the St. Nikolaus children’s hospice in Bad Grönenbach. On the demanding 16-kilometre circuit with 170 metres of elevation, he covered a total of 639 kilometres within 24 hours.

The result was as impressive as the sporting achievement: €12,682.30 was raised for the children’s hospice. We congratulate Markus and thank him for the idea, commitment and successful execution of this project.
